Foreign VC dominates Israeli Seed rounds, 2025 cyber funding all-time high over $4B | TV10 Daily
Re: December 9, 2025 in Israel - and what it all means for investors at home and abroad.
Global investors leading more Israeli Seed rounds than domestic firms
For the first time, international venture capital firms are leading more Israeli Seed rounds than domestic funds - and not only. New data by YL Ventures showed that global VCs led activity across companies at all investment stages. In 2025, American VCs led 44 Israeli Seed deals compared to 35 by Israeli firms.
At the same time, at the other end of the lifecycle, Israeli companies now represent 35% of acquirers in tech industry M&A. One to watch.
Today’s deal notes re: foreign funding for Israeli startups
Duve, a Tel Aviv-based platform for guest management, announced the completion of a $60 million Series B round. The investment was led by US-based Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), with participation from existing investors including XT Venture Capital.
The cybersecurity company Prime raised a $20 million Series A round. The round was led by a US firm - Scale Venture Partners, with participation from US-based Foundation Capital and Flybridge Ventures. The company uses AI agents to automatically test software for security vulnerabilities.
YL Ventures tracks record cyber funding
Israeli cyber funding hit an all-time high of $4.4 billion in 130 deals in 2025. That’s according to the State of the Cyber Nation report by YL Ventures. Today, Israel’s cyber chief, Yossi Karadi, warned that “wars will start and end in digital space.” Cybersecurity is now existential infrastructure, not discretionary IT spend. But where there’s a threat, there’s capital.
Yoav Leitersdorf, Managing Partner at YL Ventures, said,
“The data indicates impressive consistency: in all market conditions, the Israeli cyber industry continues to expand. The 2025 findings confirm that the scope of investment and quality of teams position Israel as one of the world’s most influential innovation engines.”
Israeli Securities Authority lightens the load - promotes quality over quantity in corp. reporting
Current reporting requirements have devolved into laundry lists of regulatory compliance that often obscure the big picture, limiting their actual usefulness to leadership. In public remarks today, ISA Chairman Seffy Singer tackled the issue of data overload head-on, unveiling a plan to phase out the onerous Board of Directors Report by 2026.
The reform will introduce a replacement - a concise, shorter Management Report, where execs can explain what’s under the hood of performance.
Hopefully, investors and analysts will benefit from more transparency.
